We tailor our curriculum to meet you and your child's personal goals. Our curriculum is designed so that students can learn at their own pace. We revise our curriculum after every term to make any necessary adjustments for the benefit of our students.
Principle-Based Learning
Our learning curriculum is primarily designed for students to build upon previously learned concepts. We focus on teaching our students to connect the dots between multiple concepts in order for them to fully grasp the materials and get the big picture.
Innovative Technology Integration
At JL Academy, we believe technology is a source of improvement rather than distraction. We implement online videos, games and quizzes that review key concepts we teach in class. Furthermore, we integrate interactive apps and websites for students to gain a visual and deeper understanding of the concepts.
Flexible Class Size and Schedule
We offer various class sizes ranging from 1 on 1 sessions to classes of 6 students depending on your child's learning style. Our classroom is open 7 days a week which means there will be a class available for you!

Areas of Practice
ISEE(Lower & Middle)
Independent School Entrance Exam(ISEE) is the exam elementary school students take to enter private middle school or public testing schools. A high scoring ISEE not only increases your chance of being accepted, it also gives you an opportunity for a scholarship.
Math Enrichment
Math enrichment is for students who have may fallen behind or simply want ot enhance their math ability. Our tailored course and method can help your student catch up to speed and even advance to the top of the class.
SSAT(Entering high school)
Secondary School Admission Exam(SSAT) is usually taken by middle school students who would like to apply for private high schools. The JL Academy SSAT course improves your score as well as overall math ability that will better prepare you for high school math.
Math Advancement
Math advancement is designed for students who find school materials not challenging enough and would like to advance to the next level.
SAT(Entering College)
The Scholastic Aptitude Test(SAT) is the most important standardized test most students will ever take. A well designed test prep course can significantly improve student's outcome. JL Academy's unique approach is not only effective but also efficient!
ERB (CTP-4) 4th - 6th grade
The CTP4 or often called the ERB test is administered to most 4th - 6th grade private school students. Our program works on strengthening arithmetic ability and conceptual understanding.
